Information on Sossusvlei Shuttle Services and Deadvlei Access
The Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism has issued a public notice confirming that, effective 01 May 2026, only authorised operators will be permitted to provide shuttle services between the Sossusvlei 2x4 parking area and Deadvlei. Self-driving by tourists beyond the 2x4 parking area will no longer be permitted.
